July 10, 2015 - Enova® will live demonstrate a TCG OPAL NAS at the RSA® 2015 Asia/Japan (July 22 – 24, 2015) in Singapore. NAS (Network Attached Storage) is a widely deployed storage server in either centralized location or remote offices. For decade, NAS relies on software encryption to safeguard the data stored in it. Unfortunately software encryption is slow for it takes up CPU bandwidth and memory resources, aside from the weakness in key management. FDE/SED helps but only to a lesser degree as key management part becomes very complicated, aside from a limited model and capacity to choose from. A solution that combines the best in hardware real-time encryption along with a publicly endorsed authentication and key management mechanism is needed to address the increasing requirement over securing a NAS.
